2008 is about to envelope us and I'm anticipating another stormy year in real estate, but sunshine can get a little monotonous day after day. A bit of inclement weather can force us to batten down the hatches, watch for leaks and be careful not to slide down a slippery slope. However, a peek of sunshine amidst the storm often produces unexpected rainbows.
Like a graceful swan gliding effortlessly across the lake, I plan to move toward my goals with inner determination and outward calm, but like the swan's, my feet will be pedaling and pushing forward. I've added some new weapons to my marketing arsenal, and I've retired a few too:
Gone are the contractual weekly ads.
Gone are the glossy personal brochures.
Gone is the mass mailing of 3000 newsletters.
Active Rain is at the front line of my Internet presence-I found my post on page one of Google today, less than two months after joining AR (I was tempted to break open the New Year's Eve champagne)! I work in the four cities of the Palos Verdes Peninsula; Localism will receive four posts per week, maybe more. I'll continue to comment and post, garner words of wisdom, suggestions and solutions from the Active Rain community. The support offered here is an uplifting experience.
Eventually even the worst storm moves on. This too shall pass.
