Yesterday's news was worthy of a second helping. I made it home from work in time to hear the national news lead off with some good news about the stock market--up over 500 points. What a refreshing change to start with something positive. Yes, there was more than enough gloom and doom sandwiched in between, but Katie closed on a housing high note too! Sales were up in February. It's been a long time since there was good news on both fronts. Hallelujah! I must admit I raised my carrot juice to toast the news!
The housing market is beginning to smolder. Entry level homes are flying off the inventory list. My calendar is filling up with appointments to show property, and it is the buyers calling and requesting instead of me urging them to see a great deal or perfect match.
In my experience, when buyer requests to see property increase a market shift is not far behind. Maybe it is simply the spring primal nesting urge at play, or perhaps the housing market is near the bottom of its slide.
Time will tell.
