Good Grief, Merriam-Webster Called Me a Provocateur

Have you ever tried to define what an agent actually does? Oh sure, it rolls off our tongue with ease that we act on behalf of our clients, but what is the macro role of an agent? Are we merely puppets with the principals pulling our strings? Or are we provocateurs; those catalysts of change, instigators of action and stimulators who often pique dormant interest and enable (being an enabler isn't always a bad thing) others to pursue goals and achieve dreams? Think about that on one of those days when you're overwhelmed with paperwork and problems are piling up faster than you can solve them.

You are one that acts or exerts power. You are capable of producing an effect. You are the instrument by which a guiding intelligence achieves a result. You are authorized to act for or in the place of another. You drive, lead, act, do.
